C/F trunklid dampers?
Is there such a beast? If so, where can I get some? The search button brings up numerous threads on hood dampers, but nothing for the trunks.
I have never come across any trunk dampers, as they probably would not fit due to the weatherstripping seal on the trunk. The trunk uses torsion springs to pop open. It would most likely be a custom install, that would negate the cost.
not sure what the use for these would be as the trunk already stays open on its own, unlike the hood. if youre looking for something because the trunk springs up too fast because youre wingless or have a cf trunk, get the springs for an rs trunk, it will open much slower.
only hatches really use dampers...my old rsx used dampers and there were aftermarket ones available for if you had the type-r wing since it's heavier. there's no need for dampers for a trunk that stays open on its own
There is some available...
I had them on my old Lancer when I had my CF trunk. Redline tuning makes them. Here is the link to it:

If you have ever had a CF trunk or trunk w/ no wing you would know what use these are. With the stock trunk torsion bars the CF trunk or wingless trunk flies up pretty violently without the weight of the wing there.
