Gauges cost so much mainly because of reasons you would not understand. Lets just put it this way, as the exactness of gauges increases, better materials, reading methodology, etc are needed. Precise gauges are not cheap. Plus sending units can vary in quality, obviously better ones will cost more.

Im not going to argue on this, because I know better. Trust me, more precision is needed to create one of those gauges than to slam together a microwave. Back on topic, to the gentleman that installed the gauges, Im assuming other brands of gauges will fit, if they are 52 mm, correct???
I'm going to get the Defi D-Gauges Boost and EGT. It's around 290 for both. For just the Boost its only $110. The Defi gauges are very accurate and look better then any other gauges I've seen too. They fit in with the oem lighting. The Defi D-Link setup is too expensive for my tastes, but the D-Gauges are priced much better.

I just got an Autometer boost/vac gauge so it looks like I'm not going to get these, but they sure are nice gauges.
