CBRD- back in the saddle again...
nice intake manifold!!!
just curious to why you drilled and tapped your vaccum fittings in the top of the manifold instead of the bottom of the manifold where the drill plate is?

Where's the E85, let that thing have the good stuff son. Are you tuning at your place or Dave' s?
What are you running for boost control? Are you running off the springs or using a manual boost controller. I have stiff enough springs that I could run off them but they are too hard to work with. So I just run around 17 psi with the spring and use a manual to raise above that.
Garret core FTW.
I'm sure you'll get that thing running around 500/500 no problem.

but i may just run 104.... it made such good power on 93 (even with it not being 100% on setup, which is my fault for being a little too design happy on the fmic).....
i am jumping to an 18psi spring (up from 11-12)...
and we are running a hallman pro rx...
i will be running aem trueboost for boost control, and using the scramble for a "push to pass" button

but we placed the sensors/fittings up top for ease of access....
we did a few things on this car to make "fixing" things easier... since "SH?T" will happen...
we also designed and placed our double pass rad so the entire turbo kit can come off without removing the radiator...
we have staubli hydraulic disconnects on the clutch line so we can simply detach that in 1 second without losing fluid or needing a rebleed.

the new intercooler will again use one o-ring'd vband at the top, but a wiggins at the inlet.
Hey Chad, I just got back from the Redline time attack round 2. While I was there I picked up the Redline 2009 program and saw the CBRD Time Attack evo used in one of the advertisements. It looks like Griffin Thermal Products intentionally covered the CBRD logo, what’s up with that?
well,
David did some tuning on friday for us...
429whp/412wtq at 29psi on 93 octane....
we have some small fundemental things we need to change....
we are changing hotsides (to another custom machined housing)... changing our WG springs... and also changing our intercooler design....
we were not happy with the performance of the Bell core, so we will be changing the core, and building something garrett based.... but the piping will still be unique like it is now... and use o-ringed vband and wiggins connections...
David feels its a 500whp pump gas car with the changes we will make... so on 104 track fuel, i should make a reliable 485whp which is plenty for our class
also, the cage is done... we will post pics this week.
cheers
