Finally !!

Update from the track !!

Scuffing tires , bedding brakes, getting temps. Making small damper setting adjustments.

Will send more pics as they come. I drive this afternoon. Chad is getting used to a "tin top".......lol.

Car sounds like motorsports SEX on wheels !!

Talk to you soon !!

AWESOME DAY !!

So Mark,Chad, Caleb and Shawn fixed the car. Kudo's to Jon Winter for tracking down Billy and Rich of Performance Engineering who were NOT working today and were able to weld the fuel rail back onto the intake.

Once they got it back on the car and Chad did a few laps, they swapped out Chad's seat for the SPARCO SOFA I needed to fit and I got my shot at a few laps.

I did a 56.5 first timed lap then a few more 56's and came in to debrief.

Second set of 4 laps and I dipped into the 55's and got my best time of 55.9 for the day. Not bad for my first time in the car ever.

One thing is for certain,... NOTHING will feel fast again to me. Porsche Cup cars.......NOPE. GT3's...NOPE. Ferrari Challenge cars....(LOFL)....This thing has the most amazing throttle response. Pulls like a freight train yet with SUPERBIKe like yankability !! 550+ wheel hp is NO joke to process your first time out on a 1.2 mile track. This is NOT autocrossing either !!

Major hats off to Mark who hustled his *** off to get this car ready and keep it running right all day in 90+ degrees heat . Bleeding the brakes, tire pressure, shifter issues, and basic first time out issues were NO problem. His ALMS and Star Mazda background was evident. Sticking his arms and hands into scortching hot areas to get er' done while we could smell flesh,.. was all I kept in the back of my mind as I pushed the car and tried to lay down some solid times.

The car felt solid. You can tell CBRD put alot of time and effort into preparation and was evident with being able to test for most of the day without drama.

Again, this was like motorsport sex at the track for me. Impressive car, build, prep and team. These guys KNOW what they are doing. And Chad's time out of prototypes was NOT evident as he showed a driver is a driver and it doesnt matter if it weighs 1700 lbs or 3000 lbs.

I cant wait for the next outing.

Overall a good test. We have a laundry list of things to change. Our quick time was a 54.4 with a poorly shifting linkage (Aka we only got the right gear about 1 in 3 shifts).... And way off on our brake pad choice. But we were hitting around 130 on the small track... Was fun.

We will go back.... I'd like to do a 51-52.

The guys did an awesome job and I'm glad we got Myles in the car he was immediately fast.

Cheers
