CBRD- back in the saddle again...
Getting it going after 2 years has to feel good. I felt so stoaked after being down for 9 months. I know what you mean about fixing a few things. I had a list of stuff to fix and tweak after I had my car out for a few test drives.
Why are you drinking from the weak sauce fountain and going AEM? Put the stock ECU back in, probably too late now, but why did you want to go AEM. You know how to get your stock ECU on.
You still haven't said what fuel you are going to use. I'm liking this E85 stuff I just put in Friday, and push button map switching makes it too easy not to!

all kinds of little things...
E85 for us too
once the car is sorted...100 for testing.my power goals are about 485-500whp and 450+ wtq in race trim.... on our mustang dyno, with peak torque around 4000rpm.

I have to add, the enthusiasm behind this project is great.... Mark (our lead tech, and my best friend for 20+ years)... Caleb (our sales director for the dealership, and now getting a hand in the shop projects)... have both put a great deal of heart into this project...
without mark's brain on the case with the piping, intercooler setup, etc... it wouldn't be as it is..... a simply remarkable project for us.
Can't wait to get the crew of people to the track, all in CBRD uniforms... all ready to take on the challenge this season....
cheers

yeah, youre right I did jump ship on the stock ecu... has a lot to do with some of the fine details of the project... lightweight piping that we didnt want to add a blow through too, running the turbo inlet pipe in an airbox without maf...... etc etc... and easily integrated into our AiM dash....

I've got my eye on what you guys shake out on your TAK turbo setups. My GT3076 was done out of convenience and it's working pretty well. But the RNR manifold I got for $200 is not so great. It has some pin hole cracks that I can't get the TIG torch near to fix. I'll have to replace it at some point and I'd like to see how you guys do in the T3 vs T4 twinscroll testing with the road race powerband in mind. I'd like to be able to run one of your guys turbos at that point and have ETS build me a new manifold.

Oh yes the AIM dash integration is really nice with AEM, and no MAF for the intake is nice.

with a 35R (originally we had a log style T4 turbonetics setup... boy we've come a long way)...the TAK33R is pretty nice... we've shown it to slightly outspool the HTA30R on our dyno, and make more power and torque at the same boost...
ets can make you something nice that we can build a turbo for... michael knows what we can build.... we have done a couple of hybrids for them...
ill send you some dyno plots when we get some...
cheers

The "Easy Button" on the steering wheel - you crack me up. That turbo is seriously loud at idle, that's wild. Do you have any mufflers in the exhaust?
I know you guys have been down the RNR manifold road - didn't it motivate you to build your first radiator? Who built the manifold that's on the car now?

the turbo is certainly loud
Blouch makes custom anti-surge covers and they all sound like that
we love them...it has two resonators... one 18" long bottle resonaor... one 6" SS burns style race muffler at the rear... and the piping goes from single 3" round to a 4.5" oval tip (also burns)...
yes, the RNR mani did make me design our first rad

That turbo at idle is insane.
