pics of tinted windows starting from lowest to highest

just wanted to know if it wasnt too much trouble to see if people could post pics of there cars depending on what percent tint they have. i see different people say they have this percent tint or that but they look all different. just wondering. main reason is cause i believe california law is something like 30% max tint so i bascially wanted to something like a 10 or 15% tint and a 20 or something and then finally a 30% if anyone has

Technically any % of tinting in the front is illegal in California, but usually the cops are not very strict. From CHP's website :

The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:

1. The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
2. If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.

The law prohibits any person from driving any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows, with certain limited exceptions.

However, legislation signed into law effective January 1, 1999, exempts from the above prohibition specified clear, colorless, and transparent material that is installed, affixed, or applied to the front driver and passenger side windows for the specific purpose of reducing ultraviolet rays. If, as, or when this material becomes torn, bubbled or otherwise worn, it must be removed or replaced.

You don't want the tint in the front to be too dark, because the the cops want to be able see you. 35% or above in the front should be OK.

Wow 5% in the back, Static, can you see anything when you're backing up your car at night?

Mine's 38% front, 18% back

no picture, but personally i think 35% all around (not incl front windshield of course) is usually the best combination of sun protection/looks and normal daily usability...

usually u don't get stopped for it either..

I'm lazy, but my Evo has 30% front and 15% rear. You can see it in my profile or whatever you call it. I dont think it looks bad on a black Evo.

FIREBALL, you were the one selling the home-made A-pillar gauge pod weren't you?

How come you got a different one on your car? What kind is it?

I have 5% on the front 2 windows, 2.5% on the rear 2 windows and 1.25% on the rear winshield. In other words, a single limo layer on the front 2, double limo on the rear 2 and triple limo on the back winshield.
