goforwand Evolution MR Build Thread
So I've been busy trying to hawk parts so I can pay these guys to keep the build going
. The will be a second round of parts sales coming soon if you want to contribute to the cause
The car is being designed to run NASA Time Attack here in the Northeast. I've been using my IX as a psuedo-track car for too long and it is just silly to risk my life in a roll-bar only car as well as the hassle of switching between track/DD in terms of brakes/suspension settings/seats/etc., so I figured buy a wreck and give it to the guys that have built a ton of incredible race set-ups, set a budget, and see what happens!
Anyway, Jay and Dan have been doing an awesome job..luckily the frame damage was not that bad (it looked bad at first glance) and the car came out well after the time at the frame shop
.
Now the fun begins as Jay hooks the car up with some mad fab-skills and attacks every bit of excess metal to make the car as light as possible ( I have to hold him back as if he takes too much off we'll have to de-tune the car to 200hp to stay in class
)
Stay tuned as the "ugly" stuff is almost over and the "fun" stuff begins soon
