Yes, I've seen the Do-Luck trunk and I love it! Especially on the X's. I tried convincing my dad to sell his DSM and A4 an buy a X..

Now that I've tried wingless, I REALLY like it. I've never been a big fan, unless the car has either a JDM IX bumper, or aggressive wheels. But now that I've tried it, I like withless without either of those two things. But, the look I'm going for, which is a super aggressive look, the wing fits.

Like I've said before, I wish I had two Evo's. I'd make the other one into a super clean, classy looking street car. Simple bolt on's, exhaust which isn't too loud, front lip, wingless, etc. But for now, on my current Evo, I'll stick with the obnoxious exhaust, open dump, big wing and so on

I'm still tempted to go back down to the garage and take it off again

 

Keep the wing on, there will always be people who drive like idiots weather you take it off or leave it on. Thats the bottom line IMO.

Wingless is great!! I'll be putting the Rex. Type-C spoiler on mine as well. I hated that spoiler at first too. However it has grown on me!

 

Man to be honest i just installed my VIZ cf trunk and had to mod the trunk springs latch etc to get the trunk to fit flush with sides. After doing all that work then getting ready to mount my apr gtc 300 just to find out the base stands are in the wrong location now i have to get it modified to fit im rocking the wingless look. I COMPLETELY HATE IT. i personally think evos without wings are pure uglyness at its finest but to each his own. Im getting the spoiler modified now so I am not going though undoing all the custom work i have done to make it sit flush on there perfect now. the oem one and wing are in storage. I love the cf trunk and when i got my evo i was debating wether to put on one your not but i wanted anew spoiler so the choice was made. If i were you either change the spoiler out to something else or leave it alone. BUT the BEST part about going viz cf trunk is it weights right at 10 pounds. The oem one was sooooo heavy. now i will say the wingless look does not look as bad with my body kit and jdm rear but my evo was called a honda by somebody yesterday when i was removing the trunk springs and i was like NO FOOL!!!!. NEVER AGAIN cant wait to get my spoiler back so i can mount it and have my evo whole again

 

i agree with him in every way. but this thread has made me want to take mine off for just a bit... see how i like it. only thing is i know i have some rust starting under there so idk if ill do it

i would say keep the wing, I love the way that the wing looks on the car, on mine i never want to go wingless. mine looks like crap right now cause the clear coat is coming off, but I think the wing still is as gorgeous as ever on the car. and for all the people that seem to hate us in our evos, I think they are just jealous that they don't have one, and think that we are like all the people that drive stupid in their imports.
