A few people asked me for some detailed shell pics of our other car https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...rally-car.html , I am not able to post those. But I decided to post up pics of our new car getting ready for a few rallies at the end of this year. A little DIY on building a proper shell.
First starts off a bare shell:

Next the car is put on a Rotisserie and fully stripped:

Then the car gets completely seam welded, seam sealed, and primed:

After the cage , seat brackets, steering mounts, etc.. are welded in:

Then the underbelly of the car gets painted:

After we clean all the bolts and nuts underneath so we could install the suspension and send it off to the body shop for some paint:

Car on its wheels at the body shop waiting for some paint:

Now it is a ready to assemble electric blue rally shell:

More pics to come. Next is fuel cell and system, brake system, and custom wire harness.

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately the car will be sitting under a car cover till probably june 10th, so not much progress will be done in the next few weeks. When the car will be done it will be for sale. Also it will be for rent, so if anyone is interested in renting out a open class evo 9 for a rally or two let me know. But if all things go right I will be driving the car at the Black river rally in September.
