well i was playing GT2 last night and i was using a Mirage...then i thought of an engine & tranny swap with an EVO , looked around google..

and then...

BOOM!

I have seen some 2dr evo 8's before somewhere on here, some shops race car, I think it had an rb26 or something. Probably welded the rears shut and just re-finished/painted obiously.

 

Australia is full of them , its a pretty good thing.
They use the earlier CC Evo 1-3 shape Lancer Coupe, cut and shut the floor from an Evo wreck in the coupe, throw the rest in and bobs your uncle. 1150-1200kg awd monster.

Yeah theres two Mirages here in Fayetteville, NC one with the Evo4 swap and another one with Evo8 swap. Both are army guys and they are really FAST! lol

 

i can only imagine the amount of time and money invested on these cars...and its not like u can easily find a clean mirage on a used dealer lot..

No, it's not an rb26. It's simpley a 4g63 mounted longitudinally.

 

I've seen alot of mirage -> evos on here/cardomain but that has to be my favorite

 

Mirages are cheap and plentiful, its a win win if you want to do such a project. Imagine trying to find a clean Civic hatch, they can cost twice as much stock.

 

No, if you're referring to the Norris Designs evo it has a 4G64 with an Evo head and a skyline drivetrain.
