RockBlocker
I've had great success with 3M clearbra films that I went ahead and put one on the Evo. I went with www.rockblocker.com because their pricing was attractive compared to others out there. I must admit that I was hoping that their pattern was user friendly compared to others out there. All kits have minor fitment issues to deal with and RockBlocker had some problems I came across with their pattern for the Evo worth mentioning. I can't say if other kits out there would be any better, but my intent is to bring this to others attention who may be interested in such a product and to Rockblocker who is a floating member around here...
My comments and opinion is not a slam, but just constructive criticism that Rockblocker can take into account and perhaps address with future kits for the Evo.
Overall i'm pleased with the kit and would do it again. Maybe not with RockBlocker if they don't update their kit. I may try another vendor. This is not my first time working with clearbra type products. For the Evo I went with their Venture Tape.
The hood piece, side view mirrors and small fender piece went on without much trouble and came out clean without any trimming.
The problem I had was with the bumper piece. No matter how hard I tried it was not going to stretch into place. I had to make a relief cuts to make it work and 2 major cuts to fit it.

The 2 major cuts had to be made at the corner of the bumpers, making a 1" gap one on each end. Here's the driver side. Also, it would have been nice if the film extended all the way to the edge of the bumper. You can see where it ends midway across.

This piece would have been nicer had it been a seperate piece. As it is, it's kinda useless and dirty cause I had to make relief cuts to make it fit . It would also be nice if it had fit around the diamond emblem completely. It simply would not stretch because the pattern was off. I may just end up getting some bulk material and clean it up. For now I can live with it.

That's all for pics. Hopefully this will help others in search of clearbra options. There are other vendors out there with different patterns that may fit better. Hopefully Rockblocker can address these for future customers.
i think it looks great, like you cant tell its there... but i would be so pissed if a rock hit a space right next to the bra where it wouldnt reach....

I have had it done to my car as well. It's been on my car for 2 months now. As you can see, you cannot see where it starts or where it ends. The tip of the black arrow is the beginning of the bra.
Mine also wraps around the hood to the inside and the same with all the edges. Mine came with a $2,000 warranty against damage from rocks. I also have it on my headlights, which carries the same warranty, except it covers busted headlights.

I was wondering who that was that purchased the kit from me. I am glad to hear that you were able to install the product to the best of your ability. I appreciate the comments you had to make as well.
I would hope that my comments on the install will be received as well.
From the pictures and the descriptions of the issues you had were not from the lack of material, but from not having enough knowledge of how the material works. The product can be stretched and should be in key areas so that way the material bonds and conforms to the curves for a tighter and better looking fit. The Venture Tape material actually stretches twice as easy as 3M that is why many do-it-yourselfers like the material. 3M is a lot harder from the clear coat surface they use.
In almost every picture I could tell that the product was not stretched correctly. Nothing against your ability at all. I have seen many times when someone like yourself purchases a kit and tries to install and the kit ends up in the garbage can and then I get a call saying they want their money back.
I know that you cannot see from the pics of Ethan's car, but I can assure you that there are no relief cuts that had to be made because the kit didnt fit. Just so everyone also knows Ethan's car was done in the summer and yours in the last month if I am not mistaken?
I also noticed you didnt wrap the leading edge of the hood from the pic. I assume you didnt notice the notch at each end for that?
I am always open to suggestions, comments and criticism. I dont think a company can grow without hearing from their user's.
In the future to anyone that is thinking self-install they should contact their supplier of the kit for tips, tricks and whether it is a realistic possiblity of success.
