AMS Logo Repaint
About a month ago I bought the AMS FMIC. We all know it has a very awesome logo on the front that just in itself makes the car look 10 times faster. Well, driving around and stuff will eventually make the logo fade, chip, etc. I've been reading around and other people have noticed this too. AMS will let you ship the intercooler back and they will paint it for you, but I can't go a week without a car (yeah I only have one car to get to work and stuff) so today I took the liberty of repainting it. I used low gloss engine enamel with ceramic. Used that blue 3M tape to tape everything up and stuff. Took about 30 minutes just to tape it. But in the end it worked out good, I think anyways. Let me know what you think.
assuming the first logo wasn't totally gone he would've taped out the whole thing and cut out the logo from the existing paint. Thats what i wouldve done assuming you can see through the tape enough... regardless looks good man!

no, i didnt get a stencil. AMS wont give them out due to copyright reasons is what i think Santiago@AMS said. but yeah i justed used the 2 inch wide blue 3M tape and the old logo wasn't TOO faded away and i stenciled it out...just took my sweet *** time (about 30 min to stencil it) used a razor blade to trim all the smaller pieces then just took that paint from advance auto parts thats in the picture (the high temp engine block paint in a low gloss black). its really easy you just gotta TAKE YOUR TIME. not to mention i did 5 coats and it was like 90-95 degrees out so it could dry faster
