might look better if you paint your whole center console black so just the shifter shows and polish the shifter...

why not just stretch some theraband with a hole in it for the shifter to pass that just stretches to match wherever the shifter is

try powdercoating the shifter and it will help with the look.

Bored? Yes... had a flu for the past 4 days and no work or play.

Wrong? Well... I don't know, hope I'll have the next version out sooner, so that you could tell me wtf is wrong?

Any suggestion would be cool though~

Oh wow.... I actually like some of the suggestions... okay, here is what I will do:

I WILL polish it down, maybe powder / clear coating the shifter(not gonna change it cuz the WORK short shifter is working really well for me), definitely going to replace those plates with something strong and blends into the OEM interior, CF or get precise cut steel plates.

Thanks for all the advice people...

you're onto something with the cut metal sheets, maybe a brushed look? or like someone else suggested, maybe a stretchable, good looking fabric that stretches slightly to the movement of the shifter...same look, prob much easier.
