Talking Bootless Shifter Console (CT9A 5-speed)

I was kinda sick for the past 3 days, so I had nothing better to do than to rip apart my OEM shift boot and try to go for the arcade racing game machine look (Had another idea of making a "H" shift gate for the 5-speed before, but I guess it didn't work out due to the lack of equipment).

I'm using plastics from DVD boxes this time, just to experiment with it... Once I get my hand on some carbon fiber or even fake carbon fiber stickers, I will try to apply it to give it an OEM look (compare with the CF dash trim). I know it looks crappy now, but there will definitely be another version soon!

So yes, I'm here to show and shine this ghetto ricey mod. Comments and ESPECIALLY suggestions are greatly appreciated, Cheers~

The shift boot bracket without the leather~

Clear cover from a clear DVD box.

Was gonna use this one to put the shifter through, but it looked WAY too ghetto~

Base clear cover under the shift boot bracket

.5/10

Seriously, it's an eye soar. I don't know why you would want to wreck the smoothness of your interior.

At least it's a 5 out of 10, LOL..... thx for the input anyway, I'll try to find ways to improve~

As for the traditional OEM leather shift boot style, I'm not going back, for sure~

HA?!??!? REALLY??!? WHERE?!? IN EVOM???
But is it for the GSR? cuz I know OEM Lambo shift gates can fit the MR 6-speed with only minor retro fitting~

Got link? Pictures? I'll look for it as well, thx for the suggestion~

^^ Sorry to break the news, but it looks like that was a .5/10 aka "point 5"/10 aka 5%. Unfortunately I agree...sorry.

I don't think the shifter moves enough at the console height to have the Ferrari style gate.

I agree, and I am sure of it, not on the 5-speed GSR but surely on the 6-speed MR.

The idea is cool, but the fact that it's clear and the holes cut aren't very good makes it look ehhh.
