Bootless Shifter Console (CT9A 5-speed)
6-Speed gated LOOKS FCKEN NUTZ~ my friend had it for a while(sadly no pics) but then he went back into MOMO leather boots just right after his Chinese wife scolded him for doing it, "Y U Make yo Ka Lok Lai RAMBO, U NOT RAMBO Okay??!? Dust all get insai and yo KA go BRO KEN~ JUST COME INSAI AND EAT YO RICE!!!"
I asked him why and he was like, "I ain't no Lambo/Ferrari wannabe!!",
then I'm like "brah, shiftgates have been around way before their time~"

I like the idea of it, very creative, but it needs to be finished a bit better and use better materials which I think you already know. Should be a cool mod once it's finished, I'd consider it.
this is one of those threads......."got bored one night so i thought it would be cool......" and 9/10 its a fail. i can see this in a hotrod or muscle car, but they execute it alot better.
few things:
-this looks totally random and ghetto in a near stock interior
-a billet or polished look can help alot
-the neck of the shifter needs to be smoother and actually have more shape and style. being as this part is now exposed, this is the first thing people would see and look at. it should be custom, and sexy.
-matching shift knob with neck would clean it up more (really? razo?)
-seeing the threads the knob screws to is ghetto
ideally i would just put a custom shiftboot on. to execute this well in my opinion, u need ALOT of custom work...use ur creativity elsewhere, the shifter is not that big of a deal to be this diff with
