Looking for a hood

I've been friggen searching the hell outta the net for a certain hood I fell in love with. It doesn't have to be carbon fiber, honestly I don't care either way. I saw a non CF version of this hood on a car for sale on ebay and wanted it, its been some time since I've seen it again.

http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=53&page=1

Thats the closest hood I could find. I like the way it looks and feel it might actually have some performance or cooling use to it. Specifically I like the air inlet on the hood.

Either way I wasn't sure where to ask about this so I picked the body-kit section. Figured people who like the body-kits would be more likely to recognize an aftermarket hood.

Anyone recognize this hood, maybe a model, type, something I could go off of to locate its non CF counterpart. Thanks for any help guys.

I will listen to any suggestions on better hoods to go with as well. I really do like this design.

See, thats what I thought at first. Then I looked through the other items the guy was selling was the CF version of the hood he had on his car. He had the non CF version on his car... didn't list it as CF when selling the car...

I think I still have his email, I'll look for it and maybe ask the guy. Thanks for the blow up.

nope lost the email. What the hell is with ViS and Seibon having the hoods but having the scoop on the wrong side? Is that a japan or UK spec or something?

i think they put the vent on the other side to cool the exhaust manifold not for the intake, seibon does make one with 2 vents one on each side of the front, looks pretty good in my opinion.

Monster Sport had discontinued that hood. We tried contacting them a few months back, and were unable to order.

Nice nice. I appreciate all the replies. I may try to fab my own. Maybe talk to a local body shop a buddy of mine works at. See what I can figure out.

I'll also check out the seibon and see what your talking about.

seibon is great, if you are aware that you are buying something that WILL yellow with in the year. Chit i contacted them and they basically didnt even want to deal with me. I wrote them a 2 page letter. Its like a computer company that sells computers for $800 but they only work for a year, then you have to buy another or pay to fix it. That company would NOT be in business anymore. OP dont buy a seibon!!

Thanks man. I appreciate the review. Gives me a better idea if I choose a prebuilt CF who NOT to go with.

I only looked at seibon for the pure fact a few tiburon guys run around here with their hood. We're in florida and no yellowing after the year I've been down here so far... but I'm sure your reviews are purely your experience which I will trust in full... plus I most people here are garage kept. It only takes one accident to ruin a company. I don't want to be just another bad review.
