Gunmetal Emblem and Interior

Well, the first time I messed up and I always leave my stuff in the oven and forget about it. I was going to let the paint dry faster (I first painted the interior silver) so I placed it in the oven, forgot about them, melted a couple interior pieces, and bubbles from the paint showed popped out of all of them.

After a couple months of my own annoyance telling myself it looks like ****, I decided to remove all interior pieces, sand it down, and repaint it with my leftover gunmetal paint from painting my taillights (which melted). Well, those taillights, I ALSO FORGOT THEM IN THE OVEN AND MELTED THEM!!! I'll never use the oven again...I can only remember when the smoke detector goes off. I always forget to set the timer so it's useless. So I went out I bought some expensive EVO VII tails.

I bought an extra can of gunmetal paint and started painting the interior. Here's how they look like. In the process of waiting the primer to dry, I also masked off my whole front end of my car with newspaper and masking tape to paint the ugly chrome which I really hate. Here are pix of the de-chromed emblem. In the process of waiting everything to dry, my friend came over to check out what I was doing...he was like, hey, the taillights look pretty good with the whole thing gunmetal. I asked him if he wanted it as well to match his car. He said ok and I painted it too...LOLz

Next, I need to find someone to dechrome my headlights...or maybe I'll just leave them... And also, my new custom plates came in so while installing the new plates, I also raised my headlights up two levels I can see much better now.

I like the emblem. But you should move your lower gauges up to the top din and move your plate down low. Either way it looks very nice.

I cant move my "plate" down to lower din cuz this plate covers my headunit which cannot be opened for viewing if it's in the lower din. I might however be able to move the gauges to the top of the dashboard...I have seen Mitsubishi at Dan Georger Mitsubishi placing a special covering on top. I gotta ask the,m.

Not big on the emblem thing. Looks like something you would find in a old Oldsmobile or something. They were always putting big chrome logos on the interior. Very 1970s....

Also not feeling the interior painting. It looks too Hondaish to me. Those guys love to paint their interiors.

I do like the Mitsubishi logo on the front though.
