Does anyone know what the EXACT part number for the lower HU mounting piece is, and how much it costs? I asked the guys in parts at my dealer, and they were clueless.

If you had posted this eariler today i woulda called my guy at my dealership. I know the just got like 5 or 6 of them in the other day. If no one gets back to you on this, I'll check with him in the morning
i'm lookin for that part also...any help would be greatly appreciated..I just want to put a TV screen where the CD changer is now...and put the panasonic HU down below..(no, I don't have the DVD all in one HU with screen..) I want seperate's since I love this deck I have
yeah it does come everything needed to install a head unit. you wont need the sleeve from your head unit. it comes with these to metal bracket that you screw to the HU and then the car. i think it was like 70 bucks.

Okay, here is the exact information. I have confirmed this, since I ordered this part last week.
The part is: (drum roll please)
Mitsubishi CD Changer Adapter Kit
Part Number: MZ598263EX
Cost: Approx. $78 from dealer
You can also order OEM parts from www.mitsubishiparts.com
They are cheaper (I got this part for $58 shipped). The only drawback is that UPS ground is the only shipping option. It'll take about a week to a part anywhere outside of Washington state.
That doesn't bother me though. It's better to save 10 bucks in my opinion.
Hope this helps.
