bye bye evo
That definitely does NOT look look totaled. Did your insurance company say it was totaled??
I'm asking because my evo 9 mr is in the shop right now from a recent accident that is much much worse than what you have. I went through a snow/ice bank, down into a ditch almost rolling it, hitting a dirt mound at the at the bottom, and finally back up the ditch, parking it in a lot of brush
My damages:
front end- bumper, all cooling(radiator, intercooler, condenser, oil cooler), crossmembers, headlight, fender, frame
front suspenesion
passenger side door
both side skirts
floor pan
exhaust
bent both rear quaters
rear suspension
rear bumper
...and a bunch of little parts
My insurance company is currently fixing it. The body shop said it is a valuable car and very fixable. My damages sound bad but I worked at a bodyshop and i agree that it is very fixable.
Good Luck!

before I had a garage, I let a friend "protect" my car while I was in Las Vegas on vacation. During his temporary custody of my evo he managed to damage my transmission bearings somehow. Lesson learned
I will never let another person drive my evo.
Oh ok...so was mine slightly but i guess it depends on the insurance company.
Off topic (sorta): This is not directed to anyone but just wanted to say. A bent frame does not mean a car is totaled. It bothers me when people say "It will never drive the same if the frame has been bent." If fixed properly, the car will drive exactly the same and everything would be just like new. Thanks for letting me rant

To OP: Good luck with the new car

Very mature way of looking at this. Now go smack him in the forehead repeatedly and make him buy you beer after beer...
Sorry to hear about your car man. Hopefully everything pans out and you end up with another one thats just as nice. It must be the time of year for this kind of thing. A kid here in town with an VIII and X just totalled his VIII by wrapping it around a tree a week ago(not that I feel bad for him, he is a huge tool).

sorry to hear that man.
