Just to clarify this is my first car, but not automobile. I have owned several Jeeps and a Toyota X-runner. I went to WyoTech for Auto Technology and am certified GM/Cadillac tech although I now do heavy equipment work.

The vehicle came with the Typhoon intake. I do not plan to remove it. I cannot justify buying a new one when this works plenty well, looks great, and sounds good.

I did A LOT of research before buying the exhaust. Many many hours watching vids.
I got the HFC and it is my favorite sounding exhaust on an evo.
It has a very deep mellow tone at idle and cruising speed. and it screams when you get on it. The piping is very well designed.
I can't compare it to stock, because the PO had a aftermarket muffler welded in place of the stock one.
I can tell you that it is not intrusive, there is no drone in the cab whatsoever. Very comfortable tone, but definitely gets noticed by others.

Tomorrow I'm driving it 12 hours to MN. If I install my parts while I'm there I think I am going to get it tuned at MAPerformance.

Thanks!

Thats an awfully long way to get tuned. Why not go somewhere closer? There are some good tuners in your neighbor state Colorado. In fact you should check out the colorado evo board, we actually have a ton of Wyoming members on there.
www.coloradoevo.com.

Car looks good, I just drove through gillette about a month ago on my way to ND.
Congrats on the purchase.

Congrats on the purchase.

It's because I am here on two weeks of vacation, visiting my family. I am originally from here.
It doesn't hurt that MAP is notorious for building sick cars, including the 1009whp FDSM.

Yesterday I picked up a Turbosmart BOV, 850cc Fuel Injector Clinic injectors, Gates Extreme timing, balance belts, and ordered up a set of GSC S1's and an antenna that doesn't make the evo look like a rc car.

I'm having the cams rush shipped so I can install it all installed by Tuesday, when my tune is scheduled for.

I can't wait!

thanks!
