I've talked to the rep at the Prodrive booth, to produce this look, they used Titanium color paint and put on a Satin clear coat. When you touch the paint, it feels pretty different from regular paint job. Pictures don't do it justice, it looks really cool in person.

is it true about the color matchign and scratches making it prohibitive to put on a street car

This looks like that crazy chalkboard style paint though like the Focus from about a year ago(Green/Grey). Could just be a crappy matte finish but it seriously looks chalkboardish.
