When tested on a road-course the MR was actually faster. This can be attributed to the wing, vortex generators, and better gearing for the track.

got to the track last night
first pass was a 12.40 at 115 spinning like crazy at the launch and bogging second
i need a better tune for sure fastest pass was a 12.20 at 120mph feathering to limit spinning and still bogging second due to spinning but i like the mph

well been really busy with life here lately but i did get back to the track for the last time this season.....
ran between 11.6 and 11.8 almost all day with a best of 11.60 at like 121 with a 1.7 60ft on standard street tires.
deffinitely need to get back on a dyno and get buschur to do my tranny up cause first gear is howling

I also love my RS. The no power anything took a little getting used to. My 700hp 91 GVR4 had power everything, so it was a little strange to buy an 05 and loose out on all the power stuff. I too am going to mutt mine up also. I have a radio in the car, and I will put a wing on the car for the race track.

For a daily driver car I think it is awesome. It is funny to see the look on peoples faces when you roll up your windows. I also like when people tell me hey that pump is not gas it is E85 .

BTW the rs is slower on the road course apparently due to no rear down force.

I have a ww ix rs aswell, and is like the wing. Coming from a sti wing I miss the track inspired look.

Actually the main difference was the struts but yes on a road course it was faster.

Well at this point I wouldn't buy just the wing. When I had a subie we just did trunk swaps. That would be a more entertaining offer.
