She is gone....forever....
Clean evo, a shame you put it back to stock but the new ride should be fun with the rite setup as well. They have grown on me a lot.
By chance did you sell the AMS fmic off your evo already?

you went from a mans car, to a chick car.... i would consider it a downgrade for sure, not many cars out there can compare performance wise to an evo for under 45k. yes the genesis is a pretty good car for the money, can get some power, and doesnt look too bad. think about it though, would you trade in a E46 M3 or S4, for a genesis? ill let the answer speak for itself.
ignorance is bliss aparently
please dont try to tell me that a rwd turbo car is a bad platform?! Or that rwd can't compete with awd....
case in point - A NSX beat up on the AMS time attack car and beat it rather easily a few times..... rwd is a great platform, many of the true race cars are rwd.

only to name just a few.... but they all have race car versions of them so they can't really be that bad...
The maintance on an evo is pretty crazy, i am looking forward to getting rid of that...
the evo is not the league of an E46 or S4 either so im not sure what you are comparing....
Performance wise yes, looks, that is very debatable, interior, M3 or S4 is 200% better
The evo and sti are econo box race cars but the quality in them isn't that great, and I love them more than anyone and I hope to always have an evo but I am also not ignorant to the fact of other platforms being just as good to use. there is a small majority that don't even use the potential of the evo anyway, most use it as a everyday car so at that point, whats the difference? its a personal preference.
Riddle me this:
if you are going to go out and buy a rwd platform new what would YOU buy?
a s2000 for $30-35k?
A mustang GT?
Camaro SS for $40k
or a Genesis coupe with a turbo for what 22-25k?
between all of those cars for the price difference, I would jump all over the genesis coupe!!!
Give the guy a break

As for the maintenance, that's a load of crap. I've put more miles on my EVO IX MR than any other EVO IX here, and I've spent about the same on maintenance as I did for the honda accord I used to have over the course of it's life. The only thing I have to replace regularly are tires, and that's my fault, not the car's. If YOU don't break it, it won't break. regular maintenance on these cars isn't bad at all. it's only bad when people start modding and breaking things.
that said, the Genesis coupe is a nice car, but it's a downgrade. Personally, I would have gone after the V6. Well...actually if I were going RWD, i would have gotten a 370Z, but that's just me lol. Anyway, good luck with the car.
I think the Genesis looks pretty good. Dont know too much about its performance other than its a 2.0 turbo and RWD. But that is a great combination and promise for the future power.
Just out of curiosity how does the handling feel compared to an Evo? I'm more particularly looking for that crispiness in steering feel. Is it close in feel to the twitchy fast response in steering like the Evo?
