Mitsu Motor Sports Splitter/Skidplate...

I think I have a picture of it next door, which I can scan later... but it's something that the SCCA Pro Rally car had. Looks to be made of carbon fiber that acts as both, a skid plate and a splitter.

Anyone seen something like this? Anyone have a picture of it handy?

The Mitsubishi Pro Rally Car is equipped with a thick carbon/kevlar skidplate, and as far as I know, this piece is not available commercially.

For a similar product, check out the WORKS Croxx Plate. It is a heavy gauge aluminum skidplate that serves a dual role as a chassis stiffening brace. The Croxx Plate lists for $199 and replaces the two skinny factory bars with the pressed end tabs under the front of the car.

protects the underside of your engine bay. That plate would probably stiffen the chassis as well if it's a decent thickness like .090.

It is a .13 thickness although most of the rigidity is gained through the use of strengthening bends incorporated into either end of the plate. Keep in mind that this plate stiffens across a solid plane as opposed to simple in parallel like the two skinny bars from the factory. As an added bonus, the oil filter still remains easily accessible next to the plate.

Price, as mentioned above, is $199 for the WORKS Croxx Plate.

It will work with the upcoming WORKS Exhale DP and can be modified (trimmed) for other DP desgins (we have already set up several Croxx plates for other customers this way).
