Finally found an off the shelf spray paint that has a 90% match to the oem dash but now I need to find a bottle that doesn't have crap shooting out of it. Luckily I tested it on scrap plastic beforehand.

Another one...

I'll post pictures of the one in my car soon. I don't have a double din so I have the OEM panel still in the car thus its like a dual hvac setup.. ghetto but it works for now.

EDIT: I'll get photos of mines installed tomorrow for sure.

EXACTLY! I have the same thing going on in my car right now! haha
The first one of these should be going out within a week. Just waiting on a new dremel to come in but everything else will be ready before that.

Duplicolor Trim Paint, a green bottle, is fairly close. One can allows me to paint 3 bezels at 4 coats per bezel.

Photos of the first one I made using JBWeld, I have since switched to plastic epoxy and bondo/glaze as a finisher. Much better results. Also I haven't repainted this one with the right paint yet, been lazy since its in my car I don't really have a rush yet until I get my double din. Also note that the overall finish will be cleaner since I threw this one together just to see if it would fit. To relocate the HVAC You have to notch the plastic dash twice and then cut/bend a portion of the lower radio bracket back to make the lines fit but otherwise the install is quite easy if you have a dremel.

First one is going to be shipped out this week if buyer pays soon. Second one is in the works for another member as well. These are being made to order, if I get a few days off I might bang out a few of these. They take about 4 hours each and that doesn't include the waiting for the glue, bondo or paint to dry.

Try rerouting your cables, did you cut a big enough hole in the dash bracket to allow for clearance for both the HVAC controller and the cable? Also which was it your cable routed, try to make it the best way with the least bends... If that doesn't work you might be able to put lube down the cable and hope for the best? Of the two I have installed both work like they did before.

Thanks for the kind words guys
