The Darkn3s Interior: Suede & CF + PICS

well i had alot of downtime since my car is down getting motor work done. So sorry for the crappy dark pics, not much light in the shop
I redid the typical headliner/ sunroof cover (YES i said SUNROOF COVER) and pillar pieces in black suede and did the dash panels in 3m carbon fiber vinyl

let me know what you guys think.. its my first time doing this work and i thought it came out pretty good wayyy better than the sheet Mitsu gives you from factory

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the headliner dirty and all

all the interior pieces that are going to get converted to suede/black paint

The ceiling gutted out

had to put the seats down and get the headliner into a crazy angle in order to take out

headliner step 1

Step 2

This stuff is pretty tough and dried on me in 10minutes

Check out the curves

step 3

and DONE-zo

painting some interior pieces

B-pillars

Comparing the OEM vs Suede

Sunroof cover about to get wrapped

DONE!

C-pillars

check out the nice cuts lol

OEM (painted black) vs Suede

INSTALLED PICS

Carbon Fiber 3M vinyl

and the EVO ....

I like it. How much did it end up costing you for all of the material. What exactly do you have to do to make this work?

Whatd you end up doing for the visors? They, conceptually, seem to be the toughest for a diy'er like myself. Seems like youd have to restitch new fabric onto em as they aren't paintable?

Not bad looks real good I need to do that as well but to lazy more worried about my turbo then my interior. I did the valve cover, radiator brackets and misc screws/bolts in black to clean it up some but thats all. I did however paint the seats with the fabric paint and it came out great I will send some pics to you so you can see it. No issues with rub off so far or fadeing as others have not had either. If you plan on keeping the VIII seats I's suggest it to go with the black look lol. Also are you going to MIR this sunday for Imports vs. Domestics? I am going to be heading down with rony and some of his friends after I get off work.
