are you sure what you saw wasnt just 3m di noc...its a vinyl wrap with a dry cf look...i've only seen two cf roofs for the evo...ams and seibon...and they're for full roofs, non sunroof...

 

yes i know there are seibon and ams but i think the guy with evo model with sunroof has a true carbon roof

Wouldn't it be awesome to have a lightweight Evo sunroof consisting of a dry CF roof and a Lexan sunroof? That would be baller as hell on an 8 second 900HP Evo!

 

ok maybe its vinyl.... but i want a true carbon roof for sunroof.. my guy can custom to me a carbon roof with sunroof. this same guy has the yellow nsx custom widebody kit supercharged at sema.
maybe i will custom this roof because i like the style but i want true carbon

With enough $$ you can carbon anything. I say do it and please post pics when it's done.

 

Without going into all the reasons this is a dumb idea, just buy one... AMS, Siebon, etc. and then cut the sunfoof in

Nah 3m only makes 7 colors. The black one is a dry carbon look, they have graphite and a few other colors. They make a white one which has a glossy look to it but they say that it is for indoor use only.

They tested clear coating the dry carbon with a spray can clear coat and had some success with it. I tried it with a professional body shop clear coat and it came out dark black. it lost its 3d carbon apperance. I have not tried the clear in a can but if you want to go that route you can try it.

Personally, i like the look of the dry carbon fiber, i think it is so much nicer then the gloss.... i find the gloss to be kind of ricey but thats just my opinion..

 

what color were the evo's? i probably have pictures of them.
