NYEVO8, leather is overrrated. I had it in my BMW, and all i can say is give me cloth anyday. Leather is slippery alsol

 

yeah i know what you are saying alex, i had leather in my gti.

leather need the occasional conditioning

but, cloth needs alot more, you have to be carefull of stains, and cloth eventually stretches and looks like ****. and my big complaint about cloth is it attracts too much dust.

i dont know, still contemplating the leather issue.

i'm happy with the stock recaro's for now, but it'll be good to have some variety MY04

 

I have not heard any confirmation that there is going to be a leather option for MY 04. I would not get your hopes up.

 

I was thinking about re doing the centers in alcantara. I think it will give the recaros a richer look but will also allow them to be grippy. Does anyone have experience w/ alcantara on seats? How does it wear?

right. i saw the article as well, i wish i could remember where.

 

I have yet to hear a PEEP about this from Corporate. We all know how reliable magazines are...

 

keep the cloth. Wait until the cloth wears out, then get the leather. That way you haven't put perfectly good recaro seat cloth to waste.
