Cusco Titanium Strut Bar
Cusco Titanium Strut Bar
I just got this on Ebay for $300.

Seems expensive but cheapest I've seen it for is $375-400.
I was wanting to know if anyone has tried polishing titanium and how it came out? I want to get rid of the weld discolorations and such.

Nice piece, Mojo. I would leave the welds. They look fine. I guess it's a characteristic of titanium when welded. Well, you just shed a few pounds off the front end of your car. Nice find. I have the rear strut bar and subframe connector. Cusco makes some nice quality stuff.

That part rocks!
It is possible to polish titanium. But it will require lots of elbow grease. Look out on google. There is info out there on what compounds to use etc...
But titanuim has a natural oxidized finish to it. If you polish it up, you will need to coat it with a clear laquer of some sort to keep it from oxidizing.

I got it put on. I did get the weld discolorations off. I used a dremel with a little stainless brush wheel. Tiataniums so hard the stainless brush doesn't scratch it. I then wet sanded the whole thing, finishing with 2000 grit. Looks great all the same color and welds look good. Just titanium color not real shiny, looks great though. I'll post some pics.
