PAGE 8- Motor assembled. Page 10---- Start of Roll Cage, Page 11 Interior 90% done.
So better late than never right? Any how I figure I would post up a build thread on EVOM so here you go....
A real quick brief history to get to today.
Bone Stock and brand new
2/16/06
The different wheels and mods...
Fast Forward to today. The car is strictly a track car now. It has been on jack stands for the past months as I go through a list a mile long in attempt to get ready for next track season. I have new AST coilovers sitting in the garage and a 5 speed to install.
All marked up and ready to cut. Roughly 2 inches of the rear quarter and my pretty JDM bumper were cut.
After the cut.
Time to glue the two seems together. (metal body epoxy)
Random shot of the tune session last night
Time to hack up brand new Voltex fenders. I cut the lip off for more clearance and reinforced some mounting
areas.
I renforced all my mounting areas on the fenders (angel hair and resin) Drilled all the necessay holes and mounted the nut rivets. Test fitted the wheel and tire combo. The wheels are 22 offset with a 8mm spacer ( 14 offset) with 275's.
All nut rivets have been installed.
Last pic before it hits jack stands for the winter.
Got some work down on the car over the Holiday. Pulled the Turbo out. Cleaned up wiring under the hood. Completely removed the A/C system (to do this I needed to remove dash to pull the heater core out etc) suspension is gone. I managed to get rid of 65lbs so far. Next up is a 5 speed swap/new clutch.
Starting the tear down.....
Tools and parts
Turbo is off.
New Invida 02 housing
Pile o' ****
New Suspension
Car is finally touching ground...
The 5 speed swap is currently taking place. I almost have the old 6 speed off...Still waiting for parts for the new 5 speed.

Awesome build. Some cool parts esp the voltex ones.
Why did you go with the Invidia 02 housing? I remember searching on this and there was a big discussion how it made no power over stock. They compared the works one as well during this comparo. Dave Buschur was the one doing the testing.
I am asking as I wonder if you read otherwise. That 02 is huge compared to all the others out there, so I was shocked how it didn't make power.
EDIT - Oh and 1 more thing - I remember reading that the 02 sensor won't reach the new bung location. If you see in your pictures, the 02 housing has the bung on the other side.
Again, I am not hating etc, sir - just asking is all!
