RS Sprint inspired Evo 7.5 diary
you know a few years ago when i first bought my evo back in 05, i would have said the hell with a auto, but now sometimes i wish the evo was auto. none the less very nice car !! i wouldnt mind getting my hands on one of those colored keys that would be awsome
Thanks to everyone who commented and checked it out. I wasn't expecting much interest in it to be honest
Appreciate all the entertaining comments from you yanks
I chose the GT-A because i got lazy driving a manual (used to own a 3000GT twin turbo and man that got tiring to drive
).
The GT-A is so much more "punchy" and easy to drive around town.
Haha, hey Kronic! Yeah bro, the booklet says the GT-A is faster off the line than the 7 GSR! Wtf! Haha, i'll show you next time we meet!
Thanks to Rob i've now got his old GSR bonnet.

After a good flogging, you can see the heat waves escaping the vents when the car comes to a standstill.

LED licence plate bulbs.

Ralliart vent decals.

At the recent allaboutstance.com meet.

Polished and restored the headlights on the weekend.
For a second, i thought i farked them after all the sanding but i managed to get them looking good with the plastic polish that came with the kit. Phew

Rear shot.

Thanks for looking

great job...didn't knew the evo 7 came with an optional automatic tranny...that's pretty awesome...in my case i turboed a 2005 lancer ralliart Auto Tranny...so i can understand how you feel driving a turbo auto tranny car...great job...go to a dyno to check it out...im going next week so i will let you know...i'm from Puerto Rico where we don't have evo 7 so it's interesting to see your project...take care...
Haha, thanks Cybertrax, slbvro, silverIXMR, sunrichmond and manolo
Your comments inspire me to continue on with this diary haha.
Sadly, many people think that the Evo 7 is the ugliest of all Evo's. They're right about the front end.
My birthday gift. Vortex generator (thanks Nathan)

Time to get the hood and Vortex Generator resprayed.
Fark it, paint the whole car while we're at it

All rubbed back and ready for a fresh coat of factory pearl.

At the workshop, the section at the back is called the "Evo graveyard". Wooo

Evo bits all over the place.

Not so lucky younger brother Evo 8.

Another fallen Evo 8. This one belongs to Stuart.
Almost fixed

Some track decals i scored for $5 at the allaboutstance.com meet a few months ago.

Respray finished and Vortex Generator installed.

Headlights polished and restored to brand new.
My low and high beams gained an extra 20-30% distance coverage.

New steering column and steering shroud cover (both took 4 weeks to get to Australia from Japan
)

Finished.

Genuine Ralliart Pedals for GT-A.
This was also a birthday gift from a chick at work.

My old, grandma pedals for commuting to the grocery store.

The new Ralliart replacements.

After parking on a slope for two hours duing the completion of my Mother's Day shopping, i come back, turn the vehicle on and all three ACD/AYC lights are on
I'm thinking to myself, FARK my life, here we go, time for a new AYC pump ($2000).
But upon inspection, i found out that my AYC fluid was MORE than empty.

Time for a top up.

There we go.
Until i take it for a complete flush on my next service, this will be more than sufficient.
The lights have not come on again since the refill.

Happy Evo.
