UPDATE!!

It was a long day today guys and very hot lol. My day ended real early with the car breaking up on both passes i did. I knew what the issue was right after we pulled her off the dyno on Friday night. The car has had the stock 9 plugs in there and at that power level the car is on, the stock plugs were not holding up. I pulled the plugs after the run and the plugs were in horrible shape. One of the was melted. Def not the right plugs to use, i just figured i can get the car dialed in and used to and didnt think it would break up. I stayed at the track and supported my other friends who were racing. Tomorrow I am picking up 2 sets of the NGK Racing Plugs 1 step colder and putting them in the car and see how she does. If everything goes as planned, Dyno on Wednesday again since the car saw 40psi and 747whp on the mustang Dyno, we are going for more! Ill be at the track on Thursday night or the weekend. Ill keep everyone updated how it goes tomorrow. After I install the plugs, im going to go do a pull to see if she is still breaking up. Stay tuned!

Bummer man! I'm kinda surprised you guys went with the stock plugs to begin with... Any particular reason why you tried to stick with those?

Yea it was a bummer but stuff happens. Yea it was back and forth about to go on these plugs. But i didnt even launch the car those 2 passes. I just hit 2nd gear and wanted to do a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. But the car broke up in 3rd. On the graph you can see the hiccups and a ignition problem for sure. I tried to get the new plugs this weekend, but there hard to come by and i cant get them at a local store. Today i am picking up a set and throwing them in the car to see if she breaks up. Ill keep everyone posted!

I wish there was back to back data of different gapping setups and which made more power, last longer, etc.

You know what you guys will gap to next on new plugs?

Since your going one step colder would you even need to gap them lower than that since they held for awhile at the stock gap?

You went to go try your best at 8's with the stock plugs installed Joey??? Madness!

Instead of going with crazy expensive plugs, I'd get some copper plugs and keep a few extra sets around.

You need that detail to make 'JUNK BOX' as smooth as glass for her maiden 8 second voyage! Less wind resistance!

GL!
