Official "STANCED" Evo Thread
I agree! Thanks B!
Thanks boss! Too bad they aren't neon green!
You guys will love the wheels. Light, affordable, concaved, and aggressive. Sounds like major winning to me.

Thanks E!
I actually cut my rear fender lips off to clear my last wheel setup, fronts are untouched. I probably could've gotten away with a moderate roll on the rears on this setup since 245's are even more stretched on a 9.75" wheel rather than the typical 9.5" wide wheel.
Camber is set to second factory spec (the more aggressive). I believe that's 1.2 degrees negative up front, and I think around .8 degrees rear. Definitely not chewing up the inner tires on my camber settings.

hmmm. im really considering this wheel. but hows the ride quality and traction with stretching out your tires like that?
you think you can get away with 245/45 or 255/40?
because on the most aggressive wheel thread on the last page, theres someone running same wheel but with 235/40 and it looks fatter than yours?
im new to the wheel thing so any info would be greatly appreciated

.I think you can get away with a 255 on these wheels and still have a slight stretch to help clear the fenders. I would not go with anything but a 35 series tire on anything higher than a 235 if you want to achieve a stanced look. The reason why 235s look fatter is because its a 40 series tires. I didn't want 235/40s because I wanted a wider tire (IMO 245's minimum). The ride quality is typical of a 35 series tire, which is feeling just about every bump on the road (doesn't bother me). Handling is still great, but as we know, the wider the tire the more contact patch you'll have (not something to be concerned with if you're a dd or just about the looks).
If you go with a 245/40/18 on a +27 or +25 wheel or lower, you're going to have some clearance issues with the fenders if they are unmodified.

No problem, I'm here to help.

its nice to have ppl on here that are willing to help and not just dicks..
one more question. if i were to get the 527's on 18x9.75 + 20, you think i can run 245/40/18? its wide enough and a 40 series too. i think it should be fine right? i dont really wanna feel excessive amount of rocks and gravel in the streets
.
40 series sidewalls are too tall. you'll run into a great amount of issues trying to fit that size tire, and achieve the aggressive/stanced look. i run a 225/40 on a 9.5j and hate it, so i can only imagine the headaches a 245/40 will give you. go with a 245/35 or 255/35 and don't look back. you won't regret it. 255/35 will be slightly taller than a 245/35, which should cut down on driving noises and increase comfort if you don't want to feel bumps, rocks, etc. hope this helped a bit.

Didnt you have a set of Advan RS wheels on your car? Those things have been out since the Flinstones. Everybody is gonna have the same wheels from each other. There is a limited selection of what fits and looks good on evo's. Your comment was completely irrrelevant and pointless. I guess thats your opinion though...

wooow thanks for the info. you dont know how much this really helped me haha.

I've owned some pretty decent wheels in my 12 year tenure of owning cars. Gram lights, CCW'S, Volk just to name a few. I've also owned rota's, linea corses, and now XXR's. My point is **** status, go with what you like.
Lol. I've been in the car game since you have been 7. I know a **** more than just wheels and body kits.
Get whatever wheels you can afford and rock them!!! If you can only afford rotas, do it... Its your car. If you can afford weds, volks, ccw's... Then ball outta control.
Id buy a set of xxr's... Aint no shame in my game!
