I have to admit. I think the whole hellaflush/stance thing is ridiculous and a watse of some fine sporting machines. I think I would prefer seeing it on a VIP machine or perhaps any other commuter - but I can't stop looking because I like the way it "looks" even though I know they ride like crap, can't handle and are potentially dangerous. I don't know how you crazy ***** can drive around with cars like that but keep on keep'n on because I just smile big when I see a nicely executed one.

So here's to you "Mr. Crazy-herra-frush-rolled fender-stretched-tire" Driver

Send me money and then do it.

@ernie, how difficult would it be to fit an 18x10.5 +20ish on stock body, and remain as low as I am. minimum size tire i would run is a 245 or 255/35. picture for reference..

the goal here is to not mutilate my fenders/quarters, but I'm not opposed to fabbing up a small fender spacing kit-- I'm more worried about the rears.

won't work with that offset.
+30 is pushing it. (-3 to -4 degrees of camber in the rear) +20 is pretty much not doable without a widebody or SERIOUS body work.

I would say... that low you'd want 18x10.5 +38 even then you'd need to run more than -2 degrees of camber in the rear..even with a skinny tire.

If you want 18x10.5" wide wheels you are going to need a custom wheel. I don't think there is a wheel out there in that size with a high enough offset to keep the wheel in as needed. I have 18x10.5 +15 offset wheels on my Voltex wide body and that is sitting flush with the fenders front and rear. I also ran a 265 and 285 series wide tire and only -1.5-2 degrees of camber. I think that if you where to do a 18x10 +20-30 offset with a 255 series tire, roll your fenders really good and run a -2.5-3 degrees of camber you can fit it. I am still unsure how low you actually are and if you are tucking the wheels at all.

18x10.5 +38 is made by Enkei PF01s.
18x10.5 +30 is made by Enkei Nt03's

Also.. 18x10.5 +30 to +45 is made by SSR Professor SP1's? IIRC. 5 spoke with a huge lip.

I got CCW's because I wanted to get a custom offset.

I KNOW 18x11's will fit on a stock body Evo 8/9.

Unfortunately Hoosier doesn't make an R comp that makes the increase in MOI worth the increase in rubber. They jump from a 285 to a 315 a full inch of extra rubber. You would need an 11.5 to run a 315 hoosier PROPERLY.

i was looking into two piece works. what 18x11's would fit?

EDIT: no i'm not tucking wheel at all. probably about 1/2" in the rear and closer to 1" from it in the front.

R/TErnie how does your car handle now that you have CCW's on? i would think with that much camber needed to fit those wide rims properly that it would handle like **** compared to say a 9" wheel

I actually enjoy a lot of the cars in this thread. However, can someone explain to me how this thread is different than the "ultimate aggressive wheel thread"?

agressive wheel is more aimed at wide wheel wide tire track-style setups. this is more open to wide wheel small tire impractical setups.

i would venture to say that my car handles exceptionally well compared to any other Evo on a 9" wheel.

the steering feel you're probably familiar with is due to high scrub radius (low offset or large spacers) I don't think the camber itself causes the real issue.... Also if you haven't lowered the crap out of your Evo... and you have the Whiteline RCK... you'll find the car doesn't bumpsteer either.

And my car has Ohlins! So my **** rides waaaaay better than some crap spring holders out there lol.

18x11 +44 CCW LM20's IMO... will be the first 11" wheel that would fit on an Evo with factory body.
