Zaino vs Meguiars
There was a comparison of different car waxes and sealants in japan and they used a glossometer before and after 15 car washes ...A Glossometer is an instrument that measure reflective gloss off the surface of your paint. Most of the waxes faired similarly..foir the best protection u get a sealant...

I've seen waxes come and go over the years and I guess I don't believe there is one best wax for all cars in all colors in all climates.
I've tried them all and there are compromises with every one. I'd try out Shining Monkey if it were a) available and b) affordable and see how it works out for me.
This was meant to simply compare Meguiars and Zaino in a real world situation and with a seat of the pants testing method. I don't have a glossometer and I'm sure most of us would not be able to tell the differences visually that a glossometer would measure anyway.
The pictures look great...shiny car...good lighting...great color. Unfortunately MY cars gets snow, salt, brine, dust and all sorts of other great stuff. We'll see how these two do after all of that.
I'd love to see someone in the northeast do the same comparison that I'm doing with Shining Monkey and something else.

Seriously though, it may score the highest on a "glossometer", but I doubt it would outlast or out protect a synthetic polymer like zaino.
UPDATE: DAY 9
Well it's been mostly good weather up until today with little or nothing to report. Today it has been raining for 30 hours and the road (and now my car) are sloppy. From a beading standpoint there was no difference and even with water/beads both sides still look the same. With rain and snow in the forecast for several days I don't plan to even spray it off for a few days. When I do I'll report back on how both sides look after straying the slop off.
DAY 9 stilll no difference.

Actually I did do that last night and at least on the hood there was no difference. I'll spray it off (no soap just rinse) and see tonight. We're dropping into the teens so It will probably stay dirty for a while which should be a great real world test.
