CF MR Roof

Does any one know of any one that has a replica of the MR Roof in production made of real carbon fiber. I would like to get a MR roof replica due to the raised fins for aerodynamics. And im not talking about the vortex generator at the rear of the roof.

Like this but not wrapped.

* Oh now I see what your saying, AMS is the only one I can think of that makes a carbon fiber roof but I don't think it's an MR replica, but it does way about 12lbs

I m waiting for the carbon roof container to arrive but it won't have fins.
Just like the regular roof and you have to add vortex generator to it because not everyone like vortex generator.

Varis makes a CF replica of the MR roof. Good luck getting it though! It will take some time.

i heard those ridges were for strength since the MR roof is made of aluminum. makes more sense to me than aerodynamics. i admit it looks way better and id like it if all the roofs had them

In terms of weight, I'd be interested to see if there was any real weight savings.

I guess I will be doing some waiting, by chance do you know if it is a a replacement or an overlay.

Also I already have a vortex generator since I bought a MR and my carbon one is on its way. I'm not removing it I just did not want people thinking I was talking about a vortex generator.

The reason behind the ribs is to reinforce roof to prevent deformation during manufacturing.

Isn't the pic in the original post just 3M CF overlay on the stock roof?

It comes on the RS

The ridges on the roof are an easy way to spot if a 9 with SE parts are added on is actually an SE or a regular Evo with the additional goodies added on.

Varis makes a replacement...there is currently no roof overlay for the MR...i was thinking about making one myself, but i would need a spare MR roof to use as a mold....

Edit. See my last post. looks like the overlay from GBCarbon would not fit the alum roof
