Lowering springs

Are there any lowering springs that don't look like the back is lower than the front?

Well another great question that has been asked 1 million times...

stay away from the tein springs. For the stance that you are looking for I'd suguest a set of swift springs. The spec r springs are stiffer than the sports but both should give you the height that your looking for.

That's the way the EVO is designed. Its really not lower in the rear, it just looks that way

I'd look into the Swift Spec R's.

Can the average joe install new springs on the Evo in his garage? Or is that something that is worth paying a shop to do?

@OP:
tein stech springs are garbage. too soft, and will blow out ur stock struts. ive heard swift specR's are the way to go if you have mr bilsteins. if you plan on not getting coilovers (only needed if you seriously intend on being competitive in autocross or roadracing OR really need ride height adjustability) than the MR bilsteins with swift spec r springs are from what ive researched....amazing.

youre in the wrong section for this. theres a whole section dedicated to suspension: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-tire-rack-23/
more info on the mr bilstein and swift combo: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ec-r-pics.html
more suspension stuff: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ead-links.html

read and research before asking the same ol question over and over.

@craig king:
you need a spring compressor that compresses the spring before taking the whole assembly apart. otherwise its normal tools. make sure you get alignment afterwards as well.

i have swifts, liked my hotchkis more for handle. Autox'ed them quite a few times.

And you can install them without a tool. Ive done prob 5 different times with out the tool, just take the top hat off while till on the car.

Don't listen to this guy. Darwinism at work. Use a spring compressor if you want to DIY. You can rent them for peanuts at pep boys/autozone or buy one from harbor freight for $10 + shipping.
