so when i got my evo the front chrome diamonds had been painted, more then once i think. it looks effed.

i just want the oem chrome one. but everywhere i look its just the rear and thats smaller..

 

If you can't find the Chrome one. Why don't you just Plasti-dip it in like a red. That way it would at least look better.

Have you tried using acetone or something to clean the paint off?

The stock chrome stuff should be stout enough to hold up to that for a bit.


If not there is always the dealership or mitsubishparts.net (they might have it).

To get the old one off you will need fishing line (strong but small) and a hair dryer or heat gun. There are 3 little "peg" like things on the back (so you know when the line stops moving).

Pretty easy to get off though.

which i could find it in flat black..... :/

 

I took mine off two years ago. Did a light sand on it and then did several heavy coats of flat black on it. Has not chipped yet and still looks good after hot and cold weather, rain, snow, sleet, or shine. Washing has not hurt it either. Might be all the coats though.
