My Full Suede Interior
My Full Suede Interior
I've had this done for a year now but never got around to sharing so I snapped some pics today for another member and figured I'd throw them in here as well because many are interested in suede ideas.
I had two of my good buddies complete this for me, they do interiors professionally so I got an amazing deal..... all I did was take the dash out to be covered and they did the rest.
What's covered?
-Top of dash, gets rid of the glare...thats my favorite part and the reason I did it.
-All door panels
-All pillars and headliner
-shift boot
-arm rest
-3 gauge bezel

Update: got the gauge bezel covered too

For the dash you can use a vaccum.. but I actually use one of those sticky lint brushes for suits, works nicely and its pretty easy......

Thanks guys!
The shop I had it done at said they would quote $1200-1500 to do that setup, its heavily labor intensive as you have to remove the entire dashboard to take the top off to cover it, in addition to the dash section is two pieces stitched together because of the brim over the cluster, you can't neatly wrap suede around that section and have it blend properly.
It really looks amazing in person, the headliner is flawless, they did a really great job. Most people who arn't into cars thinks its OE

Sound system
Thought I'd ***** out my second favorite part of my interior.
The stock speakers are pretty bassy but everything else about them suck... so when I replaced them with some kenwood 3-ways (FR) and kicker 2-ways (RR) I literally had zero base... so we had to fix that, but because I highly needed my trunk space it couldn't afford to fit a sub box in there... so I got creative.

These are kickers slimest subs on the market 8" (or maybe of any aftermarket manufucturer??)

...and here is where they fit very snuggly, seat all the way foward.

The amp, which I had laying around from highschool... if anyone is into car stereo you'll probably know how old that amp is
and it still works amazing
to KENWOOD.
I used the K-member to weld in bolts, poke through the back carpet and I also had to weld in a steel bar across the top with bolts in it to make it fit and hang the amp in place if anyone was wondering.

So if you were curious, the sub boxes are a little small, they are actually 75% the volume which is recomended for the sub... but any larger they couldn't be packaged under the seats...they are packed with sub insullation which helps out alot...and in the end it gave me the perfect balance I was looking for so it came out a success... in fact, they actually give more bass than I am even looking for so its actually perfect, and because they are inside the cabin it really fills the car with bass and you can't even hear it outside the vehicle which was very surprising to me.
The subs are positioned in the box as forward as they can be, so in reference to where you sit the sub is right under the seat slide handle under your legs, so you can only feel the sub under your *** when the seat is all the way forward..... but since no body is that short and sits with their face agaisnt the dash its never a problem
Some more suede pics I found

You see the stitching of the top and bottom pieces in this picture but its the camera making it out, you can't see it in person.

Enjoy
