My Evo IV Conversion
For LHD swaps you need:
E4 Control arms
E4 Sway bar with endlinks
E4 Steering knuckles with hubs
Also remember a rear window w/ wiper, and an Evo 4 gauge cluster. Evo 8 ones will not fit and look very out of place.

If you mean the rear end, all you have to do is swap the floor pan. The whole Evo 4 rear end bolts up after that. If you look at a Mirage floorpan and compare it to an Evo 4-6 floorpan, you'll see that absolutely nothing can swap over. The rear ends are 100% different. Brent has it right on the front stuff, I already have my Evo front stuff installed. I highly recommend ordering a set of poly swaybar bushings from Superpro before installing the front swaybar. It is a HUGE pain to replace them, so get new ones first. You'll have to wait on ordering them till you actually get your front end parts though as I guess there were three front swaybar sizes offered and who knows which one you'll get. (21mm, 22mm, or 23mm)

opps my bad..I left out one word "front" subframe.. but yea I'm pretty clear on what to do with the rear end, but I'm just curious about the front.. would I just have to change the arms and the knuckles and it'll bolt right on to the mirage frame? or will I have to completely change the front subframe to an Evo IV
You can see pics in my build thread of this too. I'll post them here for you.My Mirage with an Evo 4 swaybar, Evo 4 knuckles, Evo 4 lower control arms, and Evo 8 Brembo brakes which bolt right up to Evo 4 knuckles all on the stock Mirage subframe!


The mounts for the Evo 4 swaybar are the same as the Mirage bar, so all you have to do is switch them out if you already have a bar in the Mirage you buy, but if the Mirage you get doesn't have a bar already installed, then you'll need to tap it like I did here.


The nuts are still there for you to install the bar, but they're always filled with road grime. One last thing to note, you have to do all of this part at the same time. The Evo control arms won't work with the Mirage knuckles and vice versa, and the Evo swaybar won't work with the Mirage control arms and vice versa. This mod is totally worth it though, made a huge difference in handling especially since I had no swaybar stock. Lastly, note that this will widen your track a bit, but it doesn't really matter much. I will make this recommendation to you, I don't know if you're planning to get E4 stock wheels, but I would go with E5 instead so you can run Brembo's. They look amazing on an E4 as well.

Appreciate it! So I'm pretty much set for the exterior and AWD swap. I'm just waiting on JPP to send me pictures of the parts they're going to send me and hopefully. The transition runs smooth and everything is 100% operable! but.....the only thing stopping me right now is the damn floorpan!
So to my understanding, you didn't have to use the E4 Hubs because you were still using stock mirage axles?
i was looking at pictures and a came across an EVO V Wide body.... Now I can't decide between the Evo V Wide Body or Evo IV ....blehh

Axles don't make a difference in this case. You have to use the E4 hubs with the E4 lower control arms. The Mirage ones won't work. Stock Mirage axles work with the E4 knuckles just fine. Also, I'd go with E4 AWD stuff as you can then run low offset wheels to compensate for the extra wheel well room if you decide to go widebody later, so you can go ahead and get cracking on the project while deciding how you want to do the bodywork.
Mirage axles cv joints yes match the spline of a evo hub. But no reason why to confuse him.

^Yeah, if you are using E4 knuckles or mirage knuckles you can use the stock axles IF you are using the stock transmission. (which won't work with an Evo engine set) I was just stating what I did since he asked me.
If you are using an Evo transmission you need E4 axles. Also, if you use 5/6 knuckles, you have to use 5/6 axles which means you MUST swap to an Evo engine/trans set to get the car on the road again. Its not really as complicated as it sounds haha.
