how easy is it to take the rear deck of the car out? (the part where the brake light is)

i wanted to get the brake light part tinted with the rest of my car, but the shop didn't want to take the rear deck out... so, of course, they cut around the brake light. how easy is it to take out? and how DO i take it out?

 

If you tint the glass in front of the brake light, chances are you'll be illegal. Not supposed to mess with that 3rd brake light. Should be ok if it's not too dark, but just a head's up.

 

dont even try i tried in my OZ and well i F^%$ up the rear defroster trying to get the stupid restaint thingy for car seats undone, not worth it in my opinion

 

Don't do it... you need that 3rd brake light very clear to see or else you'll get tickets like no other!

my tint's already illegal though...

 

the third brake light is easy to take out. you don't have to take out the whole deck. all you have to do is take out open your trunk, take out two bolts, unhook the brake wire & you're done. it takes 2min to do.

i got my tint job done and i took out the third brake light out, let them tint it, & i put it back in. Looks a lot better. dont worry abt it being illegal. when you brake, you'll still be able to see it. its still functional.
