Rear Deck

i just recently put in my system in my 04 lancer oz alls fine except for the rear deck that rattles like crazy. so i went togo take it apart n it looks like a b**** to take off so that i can dynamat it. So i was wondering if ne1 knew how to take it apart like where to start and everything

It's actually not that hard to do. Take off all the plastic pieces that cover the bolts and unbolt them. Then take off the plastic cover over the seatbelt and you will have to unbolt that as well. Then I took off the plastic pieces on the rear pillars too just to make it a little easier, they should just pop right off. The seat belts on the sides will slide through the slits in the deck, so you won't have to remove them. The bolts in the rear are tough to get out because they are so close to the rear glass, but if you use a small enough socket or open ended wrench you should be ok. I may have forgotten a few small bolts, but if I did, you will see them when you try to take it out, just remove them and you're good to go! I took my rear deck out a few weeks ago because it's getting overlaid with carbon fiber. I should be getting it back pretty soon. Good luck with your dynamatting!

just be careful removing the seat belt cover. seems a bit easy to snap apart.
