I've read good things about it...no personal experience. I seem to remember a lot of mustang guys doing it.

i have it, HIGHLY recommend it. very good protection. but very expensive. should be professionally installed since it needs to be stretched to adhere correctly.

$500 or so, depending.

On any vehicle I buy in the future, I will do this. (screw the leased cars though!) I'm very happy with the protection and peace of mind when driving in MI winter. Highly recommended.

Thing is that the stuff costs about $700 if you buy the full kit plus the $$ to have it installed. I called a local paint shop with a good reputation and they can shoot several coats of clear over the entire car for the same price range!! I'm considering that instead.

My $500 included the whole front kit and installation, but not the headlamp lenses. I've never once cracked a lens, so I didn't see the point in spending the extra $100. Prices vary widely (one guy on here said he paid $1200!), so shop around.

If the extra coats of clear (at $700) proved to be more durable than the Clear Bra kit, I'd definitely be more interested in that. But I haven't heard any positive or negative results from anyone, so I'd hate to have to learn by using my own car/paint.

FYI

I have the FULL deal, everything plus rockers, leading edge of wing, drivers side rear/lower door, etc.....I paid about $1100. It took them two full days (black car)

This is NOT a do it yourself job....I found a guy that travels to BMW and Ferreri dealerships in the midwest....no one else would put it on a black EVO

I'm very happy with product and the install....

My Mitsubishi dealer installed it as an option right then and there and gave me a full interior warranty as well (If anyone spills anything or whatever happens, they will replace it). didn't do too bad there, it was worth the extra 20/month.

yeah, im the local big name shops around so cal that ive asked, the feedback on these things is pretty solid

There are only two real annoyances with this product:

1) the film fades / yellows, which may be noticeable more on lighter color cars (saw this in person with a white m3)

2) and the paint underneath the film fades at a different rate than the non-covered paint. So once that film is on, its on for good.
