Post All Your Custom Headlight Mods in Here! | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
Very sweet, but how does it go at night? i wanna do it to my headlights on my 97 lancer coupe, but there not projector headlights so they may not be very bright at night, anyone know how they'd work?
As far as the 100 watt fog light bulbs that I am running they have been on my Evo now for about 2 weeks. I do alot of night driving and my fogs are always on with my headlights. I have not had any issues. I have checked the back of the assembly for any melting, and there was no evidenceof such. Even went as far as coming back from a 45 min drive with the fogs and headlights on and tried to smell for any melting or elec burn and nothing. Again do as you wish, but I have had no problems and am very happy I changed them. As far as the brightness goes, they are very bright and match the HID's almost perfectly, the picture I linked to above is a good representation of the brightness/color.

If everyone followed the manufacturers specs on our cars for modification purposes, then I guess we really wouldn't be modifying then huh.... shorter shifter, more high flowing intake/exhaust, diff ECU, shorter spings, wider tires, taller rims, bigger turbos. List goes on and on, modifications are meant to push the envelope!
Now now. My post wasn't to put down those running 100w fog bulbs. You've mentioned you've had success, but not a lot of people have proven 100w bulbs are safe yet. I would take the chance on these bulbs if a lot more EVO's posted no problems with them. Right now, I run 55w HID look fog bulbs and they are whiter in color than my HID's.
Yes I mod, but I generally assess risk with the benefit of performance. I would hate to buy a new headlight housing (at ~$800/each, posted here I think) just because I ran past manufacturers electrical specs.

MR Heads and Tails
This is as close as I could get to real MR head lights and tail lights. Some flaws but worth the cost savings.

Did you take apart the rear lights by heating it in an oven or by using a heat gun? I've read some people on this board said that the rear light you cant bake them in the oven. BTW very nice job!
