Thanks Chris! Going to finish the rest of the exhaust soon. I'm sure I'll see you by then

Time to bring this thread back from the dead!

I've been really busy helping Devin with the Red Demon and getting ready for the DSM/Evo Shootout last month. We had an amazing time. I mean, who would complain about a weekend full of sick a$$ cars?? hahaha We've been going to Buschur's event for years now, and this was probably the best Shootout we've been too. Definitely looking forward to next year, for sure!!
Congrats again to Devin and Joey on your win in the Q16 - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/dr...uick-16-a.html

Now that the Shootout is over, it's time to give the Evo a little love. I've been wanting to finish the exhaust since we installed the aluminum section a couple of months ago. Well, now she's all done and I'm glad to get rid of the junk I had before!!
The tone is definitely different. I've now got a full 3" aluminum exhaust, from the downpipe back. Devin did an amazing job on the welds and I can't thank him enough for all his help.

Now that the exhaust is done, it's time to move onto more goodies......rims and tires.

I'd like to better my 10.90 on the stock turbo/stock motor before upgrading, but I think a bigger turbo next year will probably be my next step .....still trying to decide tho

Track update......

It's been a while since we've taken the Evo to the track, so last week we decided to head up to Great Lakes Dragaway (GLD) in Wisconsin. It was perfect turbo weather too....low 70's and sunny all day, and mid to low 60's at night.

It was my first night launching on slicks, and I was pretty happy with how I did - 11.2 @ 122.9 mph. Thanks again AngryEvo8 for letting me use your slicks! Launching on these felt a lot difference compared to my new set of rims, which are really heavy and sporting street tires. A little more seat time, and working on my no lift shifts, and I'll have my 10 second pass soon.

The best pass to date for my car is a 10.76 @ 126mph, with a 1.50 60ft. Here's Devin's pass from that night -

Exhaust looks clean. Is it much louder than stainless in turbo car?

The sound of the exhaust is different then the knock-off that I had before, but it sounds just like a Buschur exhaust.

The AMS delete kit has more weight savings, and we've had really good experiences with this kit on customer's cars.
