I'm thinking of a lip. I'm just not into the carbon ones. I think I'm waiting for a used deal

Wheels are a bit of a weird thing for me. I love concave wheels!!! I haven't seen a true set on an evo yet. I've seen concave in the center almost all the way out to the lip then it convex at the lip. I've seen MB Battles IIRC that concave out to the lip, but they don't really concave enough. Maybe it's our brake set up that doesn't allow this, but I haven't been serious about it.

I do have a question though.

Obviously you know a thing or two about plasti dip. I dipped my rear emblems a while back and was kinda careless and got some "overspray" on the rear bumper. Its too spread out to get all by hand...I mean I could, but that's a pain...Would a clay bar take off these specks? Or should I just go ham and spray all the way across the bumper where the spots are then peel it off?
That's actually how I started this whole matte black thing. I masked around the emblems on the trunk and it didn't turn out, so I did the whole trunk...next thing you know...the car. I would do it by hand. I've used clay bars and they are not made for that. Good luck!

Half the roof off Paint looks really good underneath.

BBY with 35% tint.
Leave the front fenders and hood Matte black though
Or, maybe leave the lip black. Just curious to see how it looks.

That gives me an idea. I'll take off sections at a time and see how it looks. It definitely had a unique look when I had a blue roof, hood and trunk.

BBY for now, until summer. When you drop the car a bit,, multi-spoke(6+) rims I definately vote flat black.

I'm slowly getting there. I'm just too busy

A bit dirty.

I have Platidip on the wheels too. I took it off the lip on one wheel. Now I remember why I did the wheels. The pitting on the lip looks terrible.

BBY is my favorite color for the evo but I am a huge fan of flat black so I had to go with that

Looks great! Cops in Southern CA not giving you trouble? I'd love 5% tint. I think I'll have to go 35% all around and maybe front 4" windshield strip in 35%. What kind of suspension are you running?

Your car is starting to look so much better already. Ditch those wheels!

Maybe if they were more aggressive. What are you going with?

You need:

Wheels
Nose chop
Carbon Lip
Carbon Ducts
Big Intercooler
JDM Rear

Followed by a detail

Nose chop Thought about it. Why on Earth would Mitsubishi decide on the nose?
Carbon Lip I'm shopping for one of those now, except I don't know about carbon. Am I the only one who's not interested in CF?
Carbon Ducts Is this purely aesthetic?
Big Intercooler I have one ready to go in the shop
JDM RearI'll have to wait on a deal for this.

Of course!

I just got it done but I've got 35% all the way around on the wife's car and the cops have never said anything to me....it helps I have out of state plates so I put on my stupid face and maybe pull out the dumb marine card lol I'm sure other cops not so close to base (further north) would ***** more. Either way I'm moving soon and it's legal where I'm going
