She is officially on the charger. Should be able to start her up tomorrow. I am hoping to finalize everything. I need to spend some time reading about how to flash my ECU with the base tune that Aaron from English racing gave me. I'm a little nervous since this is my first build of this caliber. Hopefully everything goes okay!

Some shots of the interior.. I've decided to order some seat brackets as I'm behind schedule

I started the car yesterday. After fixing a few gremlins:

Starter nut/power wasn't connected (I was missing parts so I had to order some and I forgot I needed this since I had to purchase starter bolts.

Fuel pump relay was bad (thankfully I had a spare):
  • To diagnose:
    • I did a compression test 130-140 across the board on an unbroken in engine.
    • Pulled all the plugs and there was no smell of fuel.
    • Tested for spark and I had spark
    • Replaced the fuel pump relay in the engine bay since the parts were off another persons car I felt this would be a good place to check.
      • Car started up on first try.
I then got the car running but heard a nasty clanking noise from the clutch/starter/flywheel area. I feel I may have installed the clutch plates backwards. I need to pull my transmission off tonight and see what is wrong. Hopefully I'll resolve the issue tonight and get my motor broken in.

Maybe I missed this step on previous IX swaps but if you used the IX harness, why the need to repin the transmission sensor?

For what ever reason the sensor connector was not the same size/shape. The harness was from a 2006 GSR I believe but my transmission was from a 2003 GSR. It's quite possible it was an MR harness but the guy I bought it from said it was from a GSR.

I pulled off the transmission last night and figured out what the clanking noise was. Turns out I installed the floating disks incorrectly. I plan to put the transmission and clutch back in tonight and hopefully start my car for the 2nd time. Hope there are no bugs! Crossing my fingers!!

She is ALIVE! I officially started her and had her running at 1:02am!!! I'm so stoked. I could here a very small sputter on ocasion which I will have to diagnose, but seems fine. She doesn't quite idle on her own yet but I believe I need to adjust the throttle position sensor "TPS". I am super stoked!! Fixed my clutch issue, got the transmission back on, she sounds beautiful! I took some videos so I'll post them as soon as I get them uploaded.
