Second round of major parts installed:
Magnus V5
Magnus heat barrier
ETS Magnus short route
Tial VTA BOV
Full Blown 70mm throttle body

The magnus was a serious PITA! Welded map sensor & dipstick tube bung to manifold. Bent dipstick tube to clear and fit, added washer to alternator bracket, gasket matched heat barrier gasket, ground each runner so my fat *** FIC 1450's would fit, and painted manifold. I've also added all my evo 9 leather interior.

XI swap? More like a mivec swap with no acd.

I'm not running an ACD, I chose not to go the route as I didn't want to deal with some of the headaches from failures (not like this is hard to do but still and I may complete this when my diff fails). But..... I do have full IX interior, body pieces, wiring harnesses, interior pieces, rear seats etc.. So nitpick if you will but it's close enough in my book. It's always nice to hear criticism from someone who can't remove a shift knob.

Update:
Just installed my short route UICP & LICP
Valve cover
Modified my COP plate for another bolt rather than two
Painted my radiator black since my turbo gasket blew out due to the studs falling out. The radiator was covered in black soot.
Made a new mounting bracket for my throttle cable as the Magnus setup is crap. I flipped my throttle cable up side down and added some spacers. This allows for a smoother pedal travel.
Routed my 0/1 gauge welding cable for my battery relocation, through the passenger side firewall hole. I don't have a grommet so I have to figure out how I'm going to find one to prevent damage/wear on the battery cable.
Upgraded all my vacuum lines to 1/4" and added barb fittings to my magnus.
Flipped my test pipe around to locate my wideband 02 closer to my turbo. I think I'm going to weld in a bung this next week on the down pipe.
Mounted my EBC and shortened my intake pipe so it will clear and make any noise bouncing on anything.

I am hoping to get a tone done tomorrow so I may start my car this saturday. I had to go through intensive surgery and complications from infection, so I have been down for a couple months. Feels good to be alive and feel normal again. Sorry for the ****ty cell phone picks. I pretty much destroyed my phone from dropping it.

Nice work, lots of sweat and blood. Personally, I would have just traded my 8 and got a 9, paid the diff. In any case, still awesome stuff.

Thanks man, it's taken quite a while to get it to where it's at. All the little things and fabrication are what take so long. And you are so totally right. Anyone in their right mind would be stupid not to just buy a 9. I was very stupid to trade my engine. But I also only paid 12 grand for my evo after I sold a bunch of parts for it, so if you look at it as if I was going to intentionally build my engine, I saved myself a **** load of money. The truth is I would have put cams and a turbo on my 8 motor and drove it with a stock block if I did it again.

Thanks my dude! Yeah it was a real PITA to install the magnus. Just started the car today and getting a remote tune tomorrow.

The first judge was more than down to throw the book at him which was a preliminary hearing. The second judge didn't care what I had to say because I didn't have a bill of sale. No matter the evidence I wanted to show the judge he didn't care. He even said he believed me that he was a crook but without a bill of sale there is nothing I can do.

New update! Finally started the car again!

-Tightened rear end link
-Ziptied and updated all vacuum lines
-Adjusted TPS sensor to 13.333
-Adjusted BISS
-My radiator had a small hole in it from being knocked over so I'm borrowing one from my friend. I have ordered a Koyo Evo 6 aluminum radiator with samco upper silicon hose. Should be here mid next week.
-Relocated battery to the trunk - Temporary mounts. I will be cutting the stock mounts and welding them to the trunk floor and moving the battery more towards the rear of the car for ease of access.
-Installed 200amp breaker
-Relocated stereo RCA's down driver side (I will be installing a carputer so this will help prevent feed back, keeping the RCA cables on the other side of the alternator.
-Replaced FIC1450 seals. My old fuel rail leaked due to an adapter I had on the car causing hose and fuel rail failures. The E85 kinda ate up some of my injector seals so I replaced them all.
-Connected and bolted up all IC piping with T-bolt clamps.
-Bolted up front bumper
-Re installed all interior pieces after battery & stereo wire relocate.
-Bled cooling system.
-Rewired and mounted boost controller.
-Bunch of other random nonsense I can't think of right now.
-I am currently plastidipping my cal, wiper arms, and radiator mounts.

Tomorrow I will be installing my hood & possibly installing my carbon fiber bits. I also want to plastidip the plastic pieces next to the mirrors as they are a little faded. I still need to find a grommet for my firewall.

Also excuse the crooked battery, I kinda botched that up. Thankfully it's not going to be in that location for long.

Well I haven't updated this in it seems like forever. The build is still going strong and I love it!

I can't even remember everything I've done so far but here are some mods I remember off the top of my head:
Radiator has been upgraded to a koyo.
Removed and painted the transmission black as I had a battery leak acid and ruin the paint.
Added whiteline fsb & poly bushings
Added cf side diffusers and cf front lip
Installed Evo IX leather door cards.

I think my next mods are going to be all front bushings in the rack and suspension including ball joints. I think this upgrade will be very nice for drive-ability and comfort.
I'm also working on a secret project to come out soon. Will be a blast to show everyone once complete!

I washed the car the day it rained but here are some more updated pics!

And some more. I'll try to get the broken links fixed when I can.
