New front lip

Hey guys, i recently bought a CF SE front lip from an online vendor, im not sure if they are sponsored on here or not, so ill leave them out.

I have a 2006 SE non MR, and the lip fitment was WAYYYY off. Too narrow on the sides, too pointed in the middle and all in all not right.

My question for everyone is, is the GSR bumper shaped differently than the SE? I was under the impression that they are all the same shape, with the only difference being the lip itself.

I really hope this vendor refunds my money, and pays the outrageous shipping costs to get it back to them.

Bumpers are the same. Looks like you got a terrible fitting lip.

Pics? Only reason I ask is because I have had lips that seemed like they wouldn't fit, but after using some elbow grease the fitment ended up being really tight.

Ok, so the first 2 show the fitment of the driver side, it will almost fit, but the lip will need some sanding to get it over the bumper, not that big of a deal, but when the drivers side is on, the passenger side doesnt fit. The third is the nose of the lip...i dont even know what to say about that, wrong car???? the 4th and 5th show the lip as far up as it will go. and the last 2 are comparing my stock lip to the new lip, its wrapped back up, but i can fit my hand between the noses of the two....

The carbon lips have less flex so you have to use more force. Try to pull the bumper a bit to get the other side to fit. Can you get us a top down view of the middle of the lip so we can see what the fitment is like?

I can, but it will be a little later tonight. but even looking at the third picture, there is an enormous gap between the lip and the bumper

Ur gonna need to use a heat gun and apply lots of patiene. Unless the lip is entirely the wrong length the plastic of the bumper will bend to it with a little heat and massaging. Dont burn the paint or youflr hand! You may also wanna start from one side. Use a screw to hold it. Then heat it up and work around

Even heating up the lip will give a little flexability. I hate to say it but these cf parts have the same short fall as fiberglass.. when they pull them out of the mold they shrink and warp

Well u can try to make it fit using heat. You risk damaging it or ur bumper. If you have little or no skill here id go after an exchange instead. If you break it u cant return it.
