Painting AMS FMIC

Not sure if this is the right thread category if not please let me know.So this may be a dumb question but i have an AMS FMIC black with the red AMS accross it but its a little dull i was wondering is there a way to freshin it up a bit i know ETS makes a really nice anodized FMIC but i dont see the point in spending that much for something i already have any input would be appreciated?

sorry its a little hard to make out my buddy took the pic im in Iraq

Is the whole thing painted? The red part can be touched up simply masking it off and using a small brush and some paint to match. I used model paint to touch mine up.

yea the guy i bought it from did it. hmm never even thought about that really i just wanted to give it a shinier look or cleaner i guess its just a little dull and my paint is still show room condition and i love the ams stuff i may look into the model paint and maybe some type of gloss for the black just dunno if thats going to clog or ruin anything. thanks man

could strip the paint and repaint it or strip the paint and polish it I'm actually about to make a "how to" on polishing a AMS FMIC

I polished mine up and took pics, but I didn't go overboard with the polishing. It takes a lot of time to fully polish out anything. I used a mothers ball and polishing compound.

Sweet, yea I'm just trying to get it looking nice again i was almost thinging a gloss black and red AMS
